Title:  Senior Commercial Strategy Manager

Description: 

As a Senior Commercial Strategy Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of driving innovation in the sweet snacking category.  Brands like Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, and RX Bar will be under your purview.  Your critical role involves shaping our commercial vision, fostering breakthrough ideas, and launching disruptive products.  This exciting opportunity can be based in Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, OH, or Battle Creek, MI and requires travel up to 25% of the time.

 

Our team collaborates with cross-functional partners across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Category Strategy, Revenue Growth Management, Research and Development, as well as Supply Chain.  In this role, you’ll excite our customers and drive sales and market share as the sole owner of commercial strategies for innovations within Portable Wholesome Snacks!

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Project Management – Regularly handle, oversee, and enhance the visibility of Product Work Requests (PWR’s) necessary for project execution.  Timely and accurate delivery of projects and inputs is crucial to success.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Close collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to coordinate diverse functions toward common initiatives will be crucial.  Your skills in listening, guiding, and influencing will prove valuable.
  • Business Insights – Proactively monitor and analyze category innovation execution.  Drawing insights from both Kellanova and competitive innovation, you’ll offer strategic recommendations and solutions.  Additionally, sharing successful practices related to innovation launches will contribute to setting others up for success.
  • Customer Focus – As the voice of our customers and field sales team, this role drives innovation strategies, ensuring top-notch programs that meet business needs.  You’ll visit customers to sell new innovations backed by valuable insights.

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • High school diploma with prior experience in commercial strategy or sales
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong ability to use and analyze syndicated data such as Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, etc.
