Title: Group Engineering Manager
As a Group Engineering Manager for Execution, you will be accountable for providing the necessary direction and leadership to ensure project execution success and technical performance across our Portable Wholesome Snack Category. In this role you will play a major role in leading our PWS engineering organization.
This position is part of our Locate for Your Day program. This means you can meet at our Battle Creek, MI headquarters. Travel to our project locations is estimated at 30% - 50%.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Project Execution – Lead Internal and External Project Managers to develop initial scopes, ballpark cost, charters, stage gate reviews, business alignment, technical specifications, operational performance criteria, final cost estimates, assist installation and equipment startup of all PWS related capital projects. Work with ‘Global Technology Owners’ and Category Technology Owners to identify and align standard equipment menu’s for PWS projects and operating principles. Lead automation/warehouse/distribution center Communities of Practice.
- Partnering with the Business – Build partnerships with our Supply Chain, Engineering & KWS (“K” Work Systems) teams to identify the opportunities where PWS engineering can add value, increase productivity & reduce risk. Balance creative non constrained concepts for the PWS Category with practical experience and data-based decisions to identify opportunities to increase productivity across the existing install base.
- Enhance Technology Performance & Standardization – Develop key strategic relationships with OEM’s. Lead efforts to ensure Project Execution is following all KWS and Unified Workflow processes.
Your Recipe for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8-10+ years of technical experience with relevant Technology OR Significant technical experience 10+ years with relevant technology.
- Experience driving transformational change within manufacturing environments.
- Experience working closely with engineering / operations / maintenance functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work globally, guiding and influencing across all regional teams and many capital projects.
